Looking for something to do Saturday 6/7 late afte...

So I have gotten a few questions about what's going on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Boise on 6/7, so I thought I would send out a little message to consolidate the rumors.

While I can't pretend to know everything going on I do know that quite a few athletes will be swimming, biking and running tomorrow, breaking a few of the biking rules supported by most of the club members. Namely the participating of non-biking activities immediately prior and following a bike ride! However, it should be a great afternoon to congregate along the green belt and at Julia Davis park. Rumor has it that some former winter olympian, Apolo Anton Ohno is participating as well. I'm hoping that some one will be nearby with a camera when he passes me! Oh yeah, about that, some are wondering where I might be on the course at certain times so I will try to give an approximate time. I start swimming with the old guys at 12:11 and should be passing my house about 12:55. I believe that I will be looking for a beer at the bike to run transition sometime after 3:20, and hopefully have picked up a skateboard to cross the finish line by 5:45. After some high fives with the Pros, I hope to clean up and find some refreshing beverages for the cool down. Monica will be wandering around the Julia Davis/Greenbelt area if anyone is so inclined to join  her.

I have heard some discussions by some about maybe watching the swim start. If you want to do that I would strongly encourage you to ride up there. They will be holding up car traffic until the last swimmer is out of the water and down the 21 hill. You could park at Lucky 13, Ben's Crow Inn as possible suggestions. The Pro men start at 12, Pro Women a few minutes later and then the rest of us get to splash around.

What ever the day holds in store for my LAC friends on Saturday, just do your best to enjoy it!
