EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO JOIN THE FUN and help out a little too. So far we're far shy of the 10 volunteers needed.
Casey Dahlgren <auggiedahlgren@gmail.com is the lead for the Kids Ride and will be your on-site contact that morning, directing everything with you.
They will have an emcee or two as well.
They provide you a bull horn for loud announcements to help gather kids when you are staging them by age group, and we have signage to help with that.
She will continue to all touch base as we get closer, but some of the initial important details are:
- WHEN: Registration opens at 10:00-am and the kids ride goes until noon-ish , so please have all volunteers arrive at 9:30.
- WHERE: the kids ride sets up right across from the statue of Lincoln that is in front of the capitol. That would be an easy place to meet and then she can direct everyone from there.
- we will have prepared the pre-registered wristbands
- o Each kid gets a wristband with parent name/phone number
- o If siblings are participating, each kid gets a wristband with the same parent info
- o Parents get a single wrist band with all kids (siblings included) listed on their single wristband
Check in is sorted alphabetically, in sections of: A-H , I-P , Q-Z
- The same process happens for day-of registrations, guardians just also have to sign the waiver.
